Locking number 1 spot in arena

I have a guildmate who takes #1 spot 2 hours before payout and then battle the #2 and then leave the app while in battle. This effectively prevents his shardmates from taking #1 at his payout time.Have you experienced this,and do you think it should be fixed(e.g.instantly end the match when you leave the game) or should be left alone?

I believe he does this because he got left out of the discord shard chat and his shardmates take turns for #1 spot FYI

i do not believe that is actually possible.

Nope, after 5mins the battle times out as a draw and the match ends. Can't lock people out that way.
