When did they announce they change to his special that makes it so a random ally assists instead of a target ally?

The SF tie fighter has always called a random ally to assist. The SF tie pilot's special calls target ally.

I thought it was target ally, I’ve been using his ship in my arena fir months and this is the first time I’ve noticed it
