Phoenix Squad and Sith Raid

I’ve been thinking while doing the Sith raid for a while now that it is very annoying that cycle of pain and cycle of suffering count as debuffs towards Ezra’s basic. I completely get that they’re debuffs, but they absolutely cripple his damage. Seems to me that they shouldn’t count against Ezra’s basic chance to attack twice.
And... Nihilus. His passive makes Phoenix almost unusable seeing as he gains protection from basic attacks. Then Phoenix is useless on him! Seems to be a simple fix to not let counter attacks count to add defense down on attacker. It’s ridiculous that you can run Phoenix Squad to Nihi enrage and do minimal damage because of budding his protection the whole time.

Nihilus rendering almost every team that doesn't do irresistible debuffs dealing percent damage.
But against Sion, Phoenix is one of the stronger options against him in heroic Sith, even with Ezra at the disadvantage you mention.
