Ship AI?

"We know there have been some questions around how the AI handles calling in Reinforcements during Ship battles and wanted to shed some light on how it works. Due to the importance of board presence and the new Reinforcement Abilities, the Reinforcement AI will prioritize Fleet survivability first. Then, it checks battlefield conditions to determine if a heal or dispel (ally or enemy) is needed. Finally, offense-oriented ships will be called if the other options are not available. In an instance where more than one ship can fulfill any of the same conditions, it will call the ship in the left-most reinforcement slot first." @CG_CMandellorian


Another bad piece of the puzzle. Why would there need to be an AI handling the reinforcements? And no information is actually given. What does prioritize Fleet survivability mean? what is it checking and what does it do? why check battlefield for heal or dispel? What if calling an offense ship in will end the match.
There should not be any of this going on especially if you are not forthcoming with the real information. Turn this off. Left to right please, most of us good players have a plan going and that AI thing would totally mess it up. or is this how you are going to control dropping players in rank so they have to spend more at payout?

  • Yep it has been confirmed, reinforcement AI will do things that no player would do when playing themselves. It does not look at power level or strength or ability to impact the battle. So far it looks as if they call in your weakest ship so all their explanations don't mean a thing. Just talk, what they are doing is making this seem more than it is. There is no way they could've programed an actual AI that worked on their budgets (time and money)

  • so really what they may mean they are checking your rank, if you pay crystals to do refreshes, and how many ranks you have fallen today, if you fit into the "box" for today...send in worst ship

  • I also really like how they bury this in no mans land instead of general discussions where it was posted

  • Honestly, it should call reinforcements based on placement in your lower bar. The player should set the order of what they want to come in, not the AI
