Damage limiter on RAIDs

A function that could be interesting to manage raids (especially heroic) would be to have a damage limiter.

For example, on a hero rancor, it would be very useful to be able to limit the damage to 500/600k per player in order to avoid that the raid is finished too fast (by players playing in auto) and that all the members of a guild has had the time to participate in order to enjoy the rewards.

Thanks to the dev to think about it :)

The dev team has stated they will not allow one player to have "control" over anothers gameplay. This would fall into that category.

That is why you can disobey orders, they are just suggestions.

Also new lock out "Join" period solves this problem.

    Not quite.
It allows to reduce the number of participants.
The idea is instead to have a maximum of participants who can play before the very powerful, hurry and not very attentive members is finished the raid.
And yes, indeed, it's a kind of "control".

If you open a raid with a 24 hour wait. All players can be in the raid. Sure they are randomly placed but if at that point someone solos you all get rewards. That's the name of the game.

My guild requires participants to hold their solo scores for 15 minutes before posting. For example, if the Hpit opens for battle at 9 PM, you can't post a solo score until 9:15. We have laid out very specific consequences for infractions. Only had to boot 1 person ever for multiple infractions. Has worked well.

as Kyno pointed out, launching a raid that has a 24 hour "Join" period will allow ample time for all guild members to post a zero at a minimum and qualify for rewards.
