Gathering gear

The light side battles are getting really tough in stage 5. I'm on 5D I think now and the battle Droids hit harder than heck. I need to gear up some more but the gear I need is in levels further along. Is it just me or are things getting tougher than you can prepare for? I literally can't get past this level yet because of how hard they hit and I have consular and bariss healing.

I've got the same problem. In one shot they van do 3000+ Sometimes. I tried to ability block them but that seems impossible as well...
