Help! Disbanded guild & TB rewards removed from inboxes!

We are undergoing a merge, & thought it would be ok to kick the last 15 members as TB and HPIT had already paid out. It turns out the rewards were removed from inboxes. Is this supposed to happen? Can it be fixed? I feel like the worst GL in the world right now.

Believe the rewards need to be claimed, just not sitting in the inbox. If they were removed from the guild before claiming rewards they are likely lost.
