Is the random rank reward for tying for first place still working?

I admit RNG can be terrible, but out of the ten of us who solo it every run, I've been placed in last of that group every raid for the last 5 raids and that feels... Almost impossible so just curious if an algorithm was changed with how it determines the reward rank.

the way it works is 2 fold. when you get into the raid you are assigned a number from 1- 50. this is your random rank.

the final ranking is first sorted by damage score, then random assigned ranking.

so its not impossible that having 10 numbers out of 50 handed out that you would have the lowest of a sample set of 10 multiple times.

so its not like you are sorted out of 10 being 10th each time.
