I started playing this game two weeks ago, trying to pass time at the airport in Denver, CO, while I was on my way back to New York, NY. Had I known I would have fallen in love with this game and would have known that the time zone that the account is set up actually makes a difference in gameplay - I would have waited to get to New York to download this game.
I noticed CG-Carrie made a thread, stating that EA would do a ONE time offer to people who have moved and have changed time zones so that they are not as a disadvantage. In her topic she mentions only players in a 4 hour time zone gap will be helped. *this leaves me in a bubble, because my case is only has a 2 hour time zone gap*
Wouldn’t you think my case is a good exception to the rule as the Devs can easily look up my IP address used in game to see that my gameplay in a different time zone was so minimal? I can show my flight ticket as proof that I am sincere and not trying to beat or cheat the system.
Many people from ea are telling me that it’s impossible to make this change, and others are telling me I am undeserving of this fix. I love this game but hate being at the smallest disadvantage from the day I stared until I decide to quit this game (which I don’t plan on doing) is complete nonesense
It’s a awkward case and a easy fix- I can’t believe EA has no intention of helping. This is why they has such poor customer service ratings. This is why they were often rated “America’s worst company”- over all of America’s gun, tobacco, drug, big pharmaceutical, alchohol and oil companies.
I asked for something so small and reasonable- and didn’t receive and genuine help

And lastly, you’re probably better off with a different time zone. Your Arena payouts won’t be at 6/7 pm which clashes with dinner time for most people.
Again - because my particular case is so small and unique - personal opinion should only matter from one person. EA just sucks at Customer Service Satisfaction
2 weeks play time plus initial $ investment vs Lifespan of this game(since you claimed you’re not quitting), I know which one I’d choose.
I actually love the new times except the 1am energy refresh. My guild refresh is 830pm, my arena are 10pm and 11pm... Will be even better at 730, 9, and 10, with dst. My partner doesn't get as mad me working on arena rank at 945 vs 645 that's for sure.
I was hoping exceptions could have been made. Reached out to 3-4 different EA representives from India- finally reached one in the USA (not that it matters) I would just personally prefer to talk to a representative who has played the game and could understand the situation. The devs could have checked my story to see if I was lying or if I was trying to manipulate the system- they didn’t care
1) First EA rep said “no way, can’t be done”
2) I found it hard to believe- so I asked a different rep. He said “it’s possible, but no”.
3) I got frustrated and checked the forums and saw CG-Carries thread about the topic and reached out to her (no response but no big deal)
4) with a new hope and ammo to use from CG Carries thread, I reached out to EA and explained my unique problem. The EA representive was very sympathetic and told me I was right to deserve a time zone change. But he told me that he can not physically do it and that he has to have a specialist do it. He asked my 5 time if I was sure about the changes (which made me think it was going to happen)
5) EAs first USA representive reached out to me while I was waiting for my ‘specialist’ and said a simple “no”. After all of the hope and talking- they were not willing to help
It didn’t surprise me really considering EAs history with Customer Service Satisfactin. It’s still extremely frustrating though and still would love the help
Now it’s become a mission just to speak to someone from EA.
I reached out on Reddit, on here, did dm’s to devs and mods on both outlets, went to ea help chat and ea on the phone, I went to twitter and Facebook.
The Facebook representative was the most responsive (no company wants to be blasted on social media) so this didn’t surprise me. I knew the rep cannot physically help me (he’s a social media service agent not a dev) but my hopes were that he could stream line it. After the second day of talking to him- he reached out with “good news” and told me it will be fixed likely tomorrow (after agreeing to a disclaimer and agreeing to the changes)
Today I was told there would be no help. All in all- don’t expect any help from EA ever
