Forum changes

I've noticed the last couple of days that sometimes it will show that there are new posts to a thread and then when I go in and look at the bottom or the last page there is nothing new. I look on the the summary page of threads and see XYZ was the last person to post in it yet in the thread itself it shows ABC's as last post and XYZ isn't showing at all. Sometimes if I look later XYZ will show up.

Has it always been like that or have they added a delay or a filter that pre-mods responses before posting it live?

I've noticed this as well. Wasn't sure if maybe the comments are being deleted by the user who posted it.

I thought that too, but have seen where it says 5 new and then there is just a single post in a new thread. So there should have been 6 and it is unlikely that all 5 people deleted their comments.

Would it be possible that these new answers had been deleted or moved ?

The STR Feedback Thread just told me that there were 13 new posts, and there was nothing new.

When threads are merged it will add the number of posts to the new messages number on the side. They are put in order of post time, so sometimes they will be before the last post of the thread it was merged into.
