Ally assist
If your your group has chars in it that benefit from ally assist then the AI needs to call them unless they are stunned or dead. That is why they are there. This should not be random unless there are no like chars. If I'm assisting with Fives and Rex or Clone Seargeant is there then one of them needs to attack and not a healer or some other garbage. This is illogical.
