Yes, the problem is there: platoons!
We develop hard our toons but it's never enough... due to this continuous proliferation....

The more characters we don’t have, the greater chance of being left in the dust when they are required, either literally or practically, to unlock a new character or compete at the highest level in some game mode.

I’m not saying it’s the right way to feel, but it’s the environment CG has created by having things such as panic farms for game changing characters or premium characters that dominate raids/arenas.
