24 hour join period. Can new players take part in it?

Yeah so a quick question. So if i join a new guild in the "join phase" of a raid, can i take part in the raid when it begins?

Experienced answers will be more appreciated than guesses.

nope. the Join period is still the "launch" of a raid. only players in guild can participate in raids once launched.
