Changes to Linking Accounts?

So just getting back into SWGOH after a break - did they change the ability to link accounts?

Before I could get a code on my Samsung phone and use that code to play my account on my IPad - now it says I need to Facebook connect ?? any other way to link ? I don’t have facebook...
