How does Han not detect Boba's ship

When the Star Destroyer releases it's trash before entering hyperspace, Boba does a super obvious surveillance job on following the Falcon. He is like 500 feet behind them but somehow Han or Chewie or Leia don't detect him? Come on, man.

Also, Luke backing up on his knees, on a super narrow structure without even looking behind him. He would've definitely fallen.
