  • Just a quick summary of comparison in our current match:
    Omicrons :: 39 vs 70
    Ults :: 37 vs 78

    but

    So, I am guessing that since we won our last 3 and they lost their last 2, the matchmaker decided to give them a break by sending them to battle a guild down 1 tier.

    As could be expected we are getting slaughtered. Just a few hours in and they have cleared our upper and middle territories. We are still working on one of their front territories.

    Even with this awful matchmaking it would be nice to know just what is going on.
  • I thought I had some idea how this matchmaking was supposed to work, but we are now going up against a guild that has won its last 6 TWs. They have a major whale with 9M GP and have 8 R9 characters along with a sizeable GL advantage.

    We had 47 join,If you look at it the GL'S they had at least 60 GL'S to are 30 and at least 20mil more GP this is not a fair match up at All,,,Flipside has been getting terrible matches most of the time Please fix this issue!

    Again another tw where there is a 60ml difference. We win we get punished. We get angry with why this is allowed we get warnings. No one besides the moderators look at this forum. Imagine a business (and yes its a business not a game anymore) where your customers complain with good reason and the business turns a blind eye and continues eating their Billtong. I got to admit you guys have done well having zombies paying as much as we do to play with your product. Even writing this doesn't vent anymore it just builds the frustration to a different level.

    Can we get a limit in how many brackets up we have to fight. I get maybe a bracket, even 30 mil GP can be competitive. Our opponents are a good guild. They are 17-4 since the changes and we are 18-3. I guess we thank you for giving us the weekend off /s

  • FIX YOUR BROKEN MATCHMAKING!!! A KEY consideration should be the number of Galactic Legends each guild has. If at all possible, the number between the two guilds should be no MORE than a 15 difference MAXIMUM. That should be a hard requirement for matchmaking. Especially since TW is the only place for relic 9 salvage they should be a fair match, not one having an overwhelming, insurmountable advantage over the other.

    I guess the algorithm took pity on them and put them against a guild in a lower tier so they could easily win? We have 5 defensive squads left at the moment. They will clear us soon. We managed to get through their lower front and discovered their second lower had 24 GLs in it.

    If I remember, I will have to do the guild comparison after this finishes and see just how much active GP they really had. I have no confidence at all that it is the same as what we had.
  • I just went back to do the comparison again now that the TW is over.

    So, our 224.6M active GP was matched up against 275.8M active GP.

    Just **** is going on here?

    Match 1 :: ✅ 12281-7801, 212.7M vs ❌ 7801-12281, 243.2M

    We actually won even though we were 30M active GP down. They had more GLs than us, but hardly any JMKs and either they had little experience doing JML vs JMK or they just didn't care.

    The bot results shown above (ran after the TW completed) reveal that we were 212.7M active GP and our opponents were 243.2M active GP. So, 30.5M active GP difference. I know that our guild's number is correct since I took note of it while trying to get more members to sign up. I am assuming that our opponent's number is also correct.
  • So the rewards for winning in TW are ok, but tainted by the expectation of facing a massive mismatch the next time around.

    At full strength, both sides had relic GLs: 78 (us) vs 128 (them)

    You are punishing guilds that are doing well in TWs because you put them against guilds in hopeless matchups.
    Yes, they only won 2 in the last 8, while we won 5
    But that leads to an advantage of about 20% in active GP ?!?

    Your "balancing" is nothing of the sort, please scrap your whole new system and do the old one if you can't di ir properly: equal Active GP
    That was immensely better than the crap you have now.

    I encourage you to run the discord bot again now that it has finished and verify what you counted. The first line in matches will show just what you experienced.

    Since the introduction of this new system, I don't think we've heard anything from them. They must have enough data to tell us whether it is working as intended. For that matter, it would be good to know just what they really intended.

    It is good to get absolute verification.

    What is mindboggling is that your opponent is quite consistently in that 320M-339.9M tier and didn't just drop down in active GP to fight you 2 tiers down. It isn't even a one tier crossover. And furthermore, you only get the rewards for your own active GP and not that of your opponent. In a mismatch, there would be some logic for you to get the higher rewards of such a challenge.

    I really would like some explanation of why such a match was made.

    We were 48 signed-up players, they had 38.
    Even at full strength, our guild was stronger/larger by 25m GP.
    Counting only the signed-up players, it was 61m !!!
    That's +26.5 %

    I fail to understand how anyone can call this "fair", even if they won the last 3 fights and we lost 2 in a row.

    I run roguesofbane and I don't remember the exact numbers but we were in a very mismatched battle which put us against a much larger guild that had at least 6 gls on both the top and the bottom of the opening round... as we have 1 guy that has 3 gls I believe it is we had absolutely no chance. that's not including anything they may have had behind the opening wall or for attacks
  • A few more details would be good, like precise guild names or ally codes of one from your guild and the opponent's guild
  • ...and again an impossible Match Making, enjoy your game, we quit and move our time and money to better product. Bye
