Can we please get a break from Marquee events so we can fill platoons in territory battles?

The current trend is having a marquee event at least once a month then throwing the toon or ship in platoons. How are most ever supposed to get all the stars in TB if you're continually throwing brand new pay toons in platoons? Wait for the guild to have 230 million GP? How about not putting them in platoons until they're farmable?

The only time I got all stars in a TB was when I was part of a whale guild where 10 people bought everything. That's not your average guild, and we barely made it. This method being used with platoons must be frustrating to most guilds who are doing their best to gear teams for TB, only to get destroyed because they can't fill your platoons.

My current guild, filled with people who've been playing since day one and all over over 3 million GP, couldn't fill a single fleet platoon this TB. That's ridiculous. It gets worse every time because we can't keep up with the constant flow of marquee characters/ships that are thrown in. We're basically being told getting all stars in TB is reserved for guilds who pay an outrageous price for everything that's released.

With the time frame of a toon going from marquee to farmable, never mind the additional farming time, that's just never going to happen, at least not being able to fill all platoons.

The better situation is to just realize that it's an advantage they pay for and be happy with the ones you can fill when you can. We will all get past needing platoons through either stronger teams that can do more waves, or just pure numbers as rosters grow.

The thing with platoons is, if you don't fill enough even strong teams often can't pass certain missions. Such as R1. Some G12 guys still don't get 6/6 when platoons are barely full.

So it basically comes down to hoping your guild can hold together long enough to rack up well over 200k GP, which is hard to do as people quit, or whaling on marquee toons as soon as they drop. My old guild got 45* in LSTB at only 165M GP because all platoons were full. Current guild can't get it at 185M GP.

Something seems wrong with that. I get that it's all about encouraging people to whale on marquee toons. It's not rocket science. But people with close to 4M GP are also spenders. People who dedicate a lot of time, in-game resources, and in some cases money to TB should be able to complete it without being hindered by the onslaught of pay toons thrown in platoons.

Just like raids and all other content, everyone will be able to complete it. Yes you may not go 6/6, but you can go 5/6 and make up those last points. No it will not happen over night and people leaving is something we all have to deal with.

Maybe they will change the setup, but it doesn't seem likely as they want to give those people who spend an advantage.

TB were changed from an event to a mountain when they did this, it will take time to conquer it. We are also getting new toons all the time and new kits that can help overcome even very difficult missions.

This is disingenuous... They will simply keep throwing out more Marquee toons... Pushing the goal post down the field. The ONLY way you will ever fill platoons will be to "Whale Out" on every new toon released. As for being able to complete missions without full platoons... Makes it a little difficult when every enemy self cleanses, gives themselves protection up, full health restore, and can ohk your strongest g12 zeta toon on 6/6.

Ya OP this sucks but if everyone in your guild has over 3 million GP, not being able to fill platoons shouldn’t even cost you a star. My guild(135 million GP) haven’t been able to fill any ship platoons in the final phases for the last 3 or 4 TB’s but yet we keep improving our TB score. It’s not ideal but in no way should it hinder your ability to do well.
  • filling all platoons and/or maxing stars on TBs is not a right, it's a privilege. It seems that folks who don't spend money always complain about people who spend having and advantage. Answer this question, what incentive would someone have to spend if there wasn't an advantage to be gained? And furthermore, how could this game survive with new content if people didn't spend?
  • The same way fortnite survives...
  • then go play fortnite lol

Or maybe most non—spenders who are perfectly fine with spenders having an advantage, simply play the game and have their fun instead of wasting time arguing with those few, who complain.

I spend. Others in my guild spend. Just not enough people blow $300 to 7* every new marquee toon that drops. That's foolish IMO, and that's what's needed to fill platoons currently. Once you 7* the previous platoon requirments, more new toons are dropped in that not enough people spent the equivalent of an average car payment on each to have ready.

It's a never ending cycle. Maxing territory battles isn't simply for spenders, it's for krakens.
