So what makes the meta?

1 First point pretty much any team can beat any other team with proper mods.

2. Second point...see number one.

Offence has nothing to do with a meta in this game. It is a story of pimp your ride. This leads to a mistaken opinion of rock paper scissors in arena. This cannot be trie of at endgame everyone can win?

The meta is a 40000 ft view of how you hold on defense. This is partially true. The truth is a bit deeper. Traya teams hold better on D BUT WHY?

Answer again is super simple. It is how the AI plays your team. For some teams the AI is strong and others it is weak. Example.

Bastila teams are the weakest punch of the top 5 teams bit the AI plays to win. This is why timeout is a concern. This is completely an AI thing. Has nothing to do with RNG.

TRAYA Team AI is less dependant on AI and doesnt need anything fancy to defend. Less attacks less opportunity to fail hence the stronger team and the meta.

Revan being the meta would require him to have two skills along the level of annihalate and fracture to begin to touch traya teams defensive posture.

I think you just show a part of the defense mechanic. Its not just how the KI is actually playing its also that the defending KI got additional % chance of everything, while the offense player you have a lowered % chance of everything. This means that AOE abilities and % chance abilities can become very powerful on defense (like counter chance and emperors AOE stun).

Another thing is that certain abilties the KI cannot play wrong like the emperor AOE. Than as you have already pointed our Traya got an upgraded KI to most other characters as she always isolates Nihilus instead of Sion to cripple him in gaining TM and annihilating the team. She will also target him further and ability block.

Another point is that some leads and uniques passively destroy other teams - like Traya and so the KI doesnt need to do much to win. Visa verce many teams play on auto and win in your newest system and this makes me think for what to play at all?

Now if I look on Bastila team it is pretty clear that Bastila assists on Ezra is a step which is just wrong if the GMY is free. This happens with most characters to have on defense fully wrong decisions to give people an easy way to win the battle (starck, phasma, foo, vader and a few others come instantly into my mind).

I guess its a system to have an imaginary arena which basically is just a ki doing failures for except a few legendary characters which semi solid will play against you. It might end in pure rng, unless you got the right combo to win it easy on autoplay. Could be improved certainly in many places...

G12 Jawa team wont beat Traya, neither will an old Jedi team be able to do so...thats why it was good he pointed out more than his first newspaper like line.

Just saying defense is the difference in teams. Defense is the way the computer plays you. Powerful toons are not always good toons.

How much more powerful would Nest be with only her basic attack? She would be the most powerful toon in the game. Her other attacks vs many toons are worthless her basic always works.

Ie AI makes her worse.


There was a post years ago that asked for an option for basic attack only.

Look at how the AI plays l337. Her first 3 moves should be mk1 mk2 mk3 . Why doea it take her 5-7 moves to get to mk3? AI makes her dumb.

That one tweek on traya turned her from an ok toon to just WOW.

AI is one of the ways CG uses for balance.
If AI uses an optimal strategy for every team, only few teams will stand a chance against Zeta Finn.
