Do you guys Think as a new player it's wise to spend money on buying Data cards to help you advance in the game or should you just play the game as it is?

If you have to spend money, buy crystals, and if you have to spend crystals buy energy and/or hard node retries.
Data cards only gets you low amounts of character shards
energy/retries gets you shards + store tokens + gear + training droids etc.
Always spend crystals on energy/retries
