I am trying to run my xbox 1 on an DVI monitor, I don't get any video at all. Do I have to change a setting on my xbox for it to work, or should it be plug and play?
I normally play on an HDMI TV at home, so no issue there. I only spent $2.50 for a long shot. It was just an adapter to stick on the end of the HDMI cable to insert into my computer screen. I honestly figure that as long as the connector did its thing, that the xbox would be smart enough to reconfig to show graphics on screen. I was reading that I may need to change a setting.
There is a setting in the xbox 1 that was set to HDMI only. I needed to put it on auto mode, which is recommended. Thank you for your help @MagicMatthews99
