Ship stats- mod stats relationship???

Does anybody have a definitive guide on how exactly modding effects ship stats? This to me is the most confusing, and poorly understood part of this game (thanks cg) of all the "clandestine" mystery stats.

Mods are simple for ships.

MOD STATS HAVE ZERO EFFECT ON SHIPS, THE only thing that matters at all regarding mods for ships, is the mod level, and rarity. So, any mod at level fifteen, and five dot, or six dot if you are going all out, will add the same amount to any ship, via the pilot,. Mod stats mean absolutely nothing at all for ship power .

What about mod type? What stats if any do they specifically improve?

Mods affect ship stats in 2 ways: mod level and mod rarity. the higher the level of a mod, the more the ship benefits. And the more dots the mod has, the more the ship benefits. So level 15 6* mods help that character's ship the most. A simple way to determine if a mod change affected a ship is pay attention to the GP changes. If the GP changed when you added, removed, upgraded, or swapped a mod, then that character's ship was affected. No GP change = no effect on the ship.

Ship stats increase in a specific way that is defined by each ship. Unlike characters, you cannot improve specific attributes of ships with mods. Mod sets (the picture on the mod), primary stats, and secondary stats have no effect on ships.

It's raises most stats like health protection damage and speed but speed is rounded down to the nearest whole number. It's not a fixed % increase either, each specific ship grows at a different rate especially ships that are multi crew. Go to their individual swgoh.gg page to see the formulas.

Select the ship you want to know.
It'll show Stat increase of the ship

Every ship stat is derived from "crew power." All of its stats - offense, speed, protection, etc - will increase when crew power hits certain thresholds. That's it. So make your pilot more gooder and the ship will be more gooder too.
