Geonosian TW bonus question

It states, when a geonosian ally uses an ability. So will a single geonosian be able to use the ability, or will we need at least two together?
This may be a dumb question, but hoping for some clarification.

I Think the artillery WILL be available, but with only one geo it will be Impossible to reduce the cooldown fast enough to be actually able to use it

the real question is : will the geos will even use it on defense ? the AI will use it ?
or its like event bonuses where they will never use.

When a skill references an "ally", it refers to all members of your team. If it wants to mean "all other Geonosians except [the one taking a turn]," t would use the term "other Geonosian ally".
