Sion's ability Lord of Pain

Wondering about Lord of Pain ability. If I understand it right when I apply the pain debuff on my opponents toons, when a toon with that debuff attacks Sion taunts. Mine doesn't work. I just finished a fight in Arena. My opponent had Sion as well and he had no trouble with taunt. My taunt did not activate once. Sion has been useless for me. My Sion is 7 star gear lvl 12.

Was your enemy using traya? Traya cleanses all debuffs from allied sith toons at the start of their turns, so pain won't stick.

No he wasn't. But my Sion has trouble with taunt against any team.

Do you have any screenshots or videos you can show us of an enemy with pain taking a turn and your sion not gaining taunt?
