Sandbox mode would be nice

When you've reached end game content, you've got the core of your roster sorted and the need to run every battle manually is no longer required what's left?
I've installed several new games just to give me something to do inbetween energy refreshes, raid time, arena/fleet climbs. What I would like to see is a sandbox mode of sorts added where I can test out squad compositions, mod configurations or just run a few battles against equally geared opponents for the fun of it with no energy or cost requirements. This could also include a 'not for reward' (other than bragging rights) dueling mode against guild members.
I've resorted to running Galactic War battles manually just to give me some thing to do using characters that are still being starred and geared just so a challenge exists. A mode like this would keep my focus on this game instead of turning to others for amusement which will eventually lead to my interest in this game drying up over time.
