    1. There are lots of farming guides out there, but the generally accepted best teams to start off with are Phoenix and Scoundrels - the former to get Emperor Palpatine and Grand Admiral Thrawn, the latter for Credit Heists. You don't need a super strong team for the heists, gear level 9 or so should do it. Also, every bounty hunter is also a scoundrel and they unlock lots of stuff later on, so getting them as part of your Scoundrel team gives you a head start.

    2. Don't use resources on characters you aren't 100% sure you will use. Lots of us out here with half-leveled, half-geared characters that never ended up seeing action, whose resources could have been better spent elsewhere.

    3. There are a lot of legendaries in the game now, so working towards them is a good way to build out your roster. Already alluded to above with the Phoenix suggestion, but by the time you have every legendary you will also have half a dozen other viable teams to use in other areas of the game.

    4. DON'T. NEGLECT. SHIPS. If you're super new you may not have unlocked them yet. Ships go ignored by a lot of players because they don't really understand how to play them and they declare ship mode "bad." Do not make this mistake. Ships are a tremendous asset, both for PVP (territory war/grand arena) and for acquiring crystals and fleet currency in the fleet arena. Fleet currency and one of the daily ship challenges are the best, fastest way to acquire Zeta ability materials, which you will never have enough of.

    5. Don't neglect mods either. Building good teams is essential, but the best team in the game still absolutely sucks if they have bad mods. They're sort of complicated and unfortunately it's very RNG-based what quality mods you get, but dedicate some of your resources to them at all times. In general, you want all your mods to have speed on them - speed gives you more turns, more turns make it easier to win.

    6. Join a decent guild ASAP - a "real" guild, not a "starter" guild. Even as a brand new player, it shouldn't be too hard to find a guild completing Heroic Rancor and Heroic AAT - as long as you have one seven-star character, you can join these for rewards and start getting shards for Han Solo and General Kenobi. Territory War and Territory Battle are also good sources of rewards.

    7. When you do get into a guild, don't use your Guild Event Currency (yellow tokens) for anything other than Hermit Yoda and Wampa (in that order imo, but both are good) until they are complete. The gear in there is tempting, but just stick it out. It's worth it.

    8. There are a lot of old, trashy characters in the shops (Arena, Galactic War, Cantina) that you can safely ignore for now. Most are very outdated and not worth building. Exceptions include Boba Fett, Greedo, Assaj Ventress, First Order Officer, and a few others - again, there are plenty of guides out there. But calling back to point #2 here, don't buy shards for anyone you don't know you'll be using. Once you have the good ones complete, you can start using those stores for shard shop currency to buy more gear.

  • Hello, my name’s Reaper. Our guild started when we had to leave a guild that was full but mostly inactive. We, the active members, decided to create a new guild to start doing raids and guild activities more often to get stronger individually and as a group. We would humbly ask if you would like to join our group of outcasts and become stronger as a unit. We are US and UK based and have a fully decked-out discord server. Right now, we are actively recruiting and we’d be very lucky to have you. If you are interested, please message me at #Reaper8062 on discord.
