Please Explain DS Bastilla vs DS Bastilla

I don’t want to sound stupid, but isn’t it whether who goes first that determines the opposing team can apply debuffs with Corrupted Battle Meditation on or not?

Why does it seem like it doesn’t matter and aside from stacks of ferocity other debuffs are landing on my team and I have a faster DS Bastilla?

I just need an explanation as I’m trying to understand the mechanics here.

Are they getting cbm cause its not a 100% chance for it to stick to the enemy

CBM only stops debuffs that come from active skills. So it can’t stop debuffs that come from passives like opposing CBM and so on.

CBM only prevents debuffs from active abilities. So it doesnt prevent CBM from enemy Badstilla.
