How will Malak impact a Jedi Luke release?

Regardless of where you fall on Malak, how do you think his release will impact Jedi Luke? The backlash has been real for power levels and nerfs.

I would assume Luke to be the most powerful character in the game. This might lead to further delays and changes to avoid the current game state. What do you think?

Also, let’s not focus on too much Malak hatred. Plenty of other threads for that.

  • Jedi Luke will be a new type of event, like Malak. It will be only for whales and Malak and other siths will be nerfed to make him invincible.
  • In what way was Luke ever a powerful jedi? Certainly not in the movies.

I'm with this guy, they erased everything else from canon, so it's just the movies where he's kinda a pushover. Anakin on the other hand... 😆

    What about new episode Rey.
She is going to be very powerful Skywalker which is going to be more powerful than Jedi.

Luke’s power came from his knowledge of the Force and gathering of all the artifacts he could to rebuild the Jedi Academy. That’s Disney canon. Just like Rey got her knowledge of ships from a Y-Wing targeting computer on Jakku. And Emperor Palpatine had cashes of Jedi / Sith and other force user items all over in vaults, similar to the Battlefront 2 storyline. Rey was part of a failed attack on a cashe vault on Jakku, also Disney canon.

So if you don’t wish to read the new back stories or follow the comics and limit yourself to the movies only, then Luke is still the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, as in his mind, he’s the ONLY Jedi. No Jedi survived, aside from Ben and Yoda, the purge until Kanan and others showed up in Rebels, and no clones disobeyed Order 66 until Clone Wars removed Rex, Fives, and other chips from their heads.
  • There’s always the option for a Grand Master Luke if people are worried about the power level matching a title.

That's like putting on your resume that you were the best hitter in TBall.

Luke had the most rudimentary force training before he ran off to help his friends. Even in the thrawn books Luke was struggling to understand what the force was and could do.

Compare that to Mace one of the greatest in the order at the peak of their strength who probably studied and practiced the force with other great jedi his entire life.
