This little detail worries me more than other concerns related to the launch. Did these start under an hour timer, was it longer? I just know of this part. Going from here I'm worried we are now pushed into a rush in a turn based game. A one day event where you can contribute to/play any time along it is fine.
But this gold rush mentality emerging is not ok for me at all. Especially the GAC related feats, time of playing was an important part of GA strategy. Now we are supposed to play undersized squads with an expiring timer which makes us exposable to rush mistakes? Not cool at all. Hope I'm missing something as I didn't get to play it.

I thought it seemed like a mistake, and not the intended feature.
They have launched other features with timers and heard the player base about our displeasure around this and the fact that it's an international game, I'm pretty sure they are not intending on that to be a feature around this event.
