Farm Resistance Pilot or go for Vader shards?

I have 86, Lumi, Poggle, and in a few days Phasma maxed in the GW store. Given that Vader got a 6* and 7* buff, would it be more beneficial long-term to go for Resistance Pilot, or buy shards of maxed out toons and use them in the shard shop to farm Vader? He's near 5* atm.

Not really a comparison Tbh. You'll get Vader anyways. Just keep 300/600 currency. That's easy enough.

RP sucks though.

Do both. I'm doing both right now. I'm keeping around 900 shard tokens on standby. I keep getting RP shards until I see Vader like today, now for the next time I'll get more extra shards from lumi until I have 900 again. Once I do I'm back to RP. I'm using them for Vader anakin and Rey so I keep at least 900 with me

rp is slow and has mediocre hp. not really a threat in the one top 10 team i fight daily

RP really does suck dude. She's easily farmable, if she was good we'd know. More people would be using her. I hit rank one 3 times a week at least and nobody uses her.

RP doesn't suck. She's one of those hidden gems. One of the highest base damage in the game. Slow yes but she gains TM in different ways to make up. And with dookus lead fixed I'm sure we'd start to see a few more now. Just because you don't see the character being used doesn't mean they aren't good. Personally I'm farming her before poggle or 86. I find her way better than both of those but those are your cookie cut players.
If you ever fight against a 7* fully geared RP and allow her to start gaining foresight, she will wipe out your players one by one

To answer your question, go for RP IMO, Vader will get there, eventually.

Love RP, been using her for a while now. Never saw her but she is slowly making it onto teams. My only small gripe is she gets targeted by AI a lot lately right from the start.

What do you mean by "start gaining foresight". She has a decent chance of gaining it once every 3 turns.

I use RP in Arena with Phasma lead, GS, QGJ, and Poe with devastating effect. GS and QGJ go 1st and call assists. Sometimes they also get the Phasma bonus and get another assist. Poe taunts drawing fire and GS, QGJ, and RP destroy whatever they hit. I'll lose Poe, but not before they only have 3 toons left no matter who I am facing. I usually take down Lumi 1st or GS 1st depending on the other team.

Farm RP, amd keep 300 tokens on hand for whenever Vader shows up. Then when he does get 300 more from GW.

BTW you can also hit up Sid for extra shop tokens assuming you maxed him like the other 99% of us who have.

As for RP I am farming him because I have seen him 7* a few times in arena and gw and she hits like a runaway Mack truck and has GS-like hp.

guess you never faced a QGJ lead, GS, Rey, RG, Yoda or Dooku team.
