Possible solution for GAC match making complication
I've realised something that may make the while thing much easier to matchmake players for competitive match ups
Registered teams:
Players register a number of teams for GAC before each matchmaking process, meeting a minimum number of teams, and then are match made based on and restricted to using only those teams, this would eliminate a lot of issues with bloat and focus coming into calculation for match making and I don't think selecting our teams ahead of time would be a problem

The teams you use may vary depending on your opponent.
And this has been suggested several times before.
