PR Question

CG help us help you...

I don’t understand why you released all of these premium relic packs by themselves that will seemingly expire before a new content release. Why didn’t you couple relics with new content? I realize Light Side Geo TB is coming, but some guilds are almost maxing DS TB without relics. There is nothing communicated beyond next month for new game modes. We already had enough to participate in the new LS TB, so what’re we buying relics for?

As a customer I want to buy your new relic packs, but it’s foolhardy when the customer doesn’t know what they’re buying. You wouldn’t go to to a fast food stand and buy a box with the hope there will be a hamburger in it. No there are pictures, videos and examples of the food and a promise the food will be in the box upon the completed transaction. This seems pretty basic, fast food and other products seem to be selling their products on this concept. Heck even casinos show and tell you why you’re risking your money with the new car/truck etc. amidst the slot machines.

The point is show us something and I will happily show you the money. Give us a showcase of your ideas (new raids, characters, etc.) a few quarters in advance. Even if your idea isn’t complete, people invest in ideas all the time that don’t pan out, but it’s better than what we’re getting now. Its not fraud if you intended to sell us these ideas. Even Battlefront 2 gives us 3-4 quarters of content to look forward to, and it’s free. It’s easy and if at the end of the day you got nothing then I’ll be happy I didn’t spend.

Lastly, this is not a rant against Krakens and Whales. I would like to say thank you to those folks who’ve significantly supported this game and given the rest of us a great experience. This game is setup exactly like a casino, comping the high rollers, placating the dolphins (me), and providing free entertainment to the F2P, all of which I completely agree with...and the house always wins as long as people are interested in what you’re selling. So try to be a bit more open in your PR strategy...
