Gearing up resistance in prep for ep 9?

I know resistance isn't the best as of late, but would it be worth maxing a few of them out in prep for episode 9? If so, which ones would you do?

I am.
I have a decent FO but hadn't done any resistance except R2 by coincidence and bb8 for ABC. Just used cantina store for Poe.
Rapid farm of Rey and Finn will give me 5 toons. May quickly bag pilot from gw store in case someone else doesn't make 7*. Least priority for gear though

Get them to 7* and hoard gear. No need to invest gear in them yet unless you need them for something. New toons will be coming with the new movie, no doubt.
