It's stupid. You've probably just set a meta squad that cannot be defeated by anything other than a mirror match (and if no other squads can beat 501st in arena, if they all time out or get wiped out I'm done), by breaking standard game mechanics with each squad since Jedi Knight Revan. It's going to get to a point where the only way to go forward is to literally install an "I win button" on your next meta character at some point. When you make the rules of the game, play by those rules. Nobody wants to play baseball with a kid who keeps changing the rules in his favor after other players find strategies to beat him at his own game.

Change could be excellent, but this is not really a change- this is "all you got doesn't mean squat if you facing this toon".
When you amplify each new character so much and make it the killer of the last one, you're not only create big grudge among all who got the last one, but also bring the game to a point where each character have to be the last one killer just to be relevant, and with that each player also have to had this character just to stay relevant
