Why does Tarkin's CS is the default in TB Ship Combats

Like why....I really don't think of looking at what capital ship i'm using because * i assume* that the *strongest* one is the default*(Meaning THRAWN'S Capital ship,in terms of GP and Power)

This is the case for every listing in the game,power first,and power leads get defaulted .

Then tell me why did I have to fail my TB Ship combat because instead of Thrawn's instakill AOE i have a wet noodle tarkin that does absolutely nothing to the enemy.

Because Grievous' ship isn't out yet

Because it remembers the last one you used. You must have used him for the second battle in the previous phase.

In phase two (the first ship phase), Chimaera is a required unit which is why it is auto-selected.
