Halp! New Guy Needs Help Building Best Team

So, I’m pretty terrible at team-based games like this one, but Star Wars rules and I’d thought I’d give it a go. Well, as per usual, I got distracted by all the pretty characters and spread myself too thin. Can y’all give a guy some guidance on which characters I should be focusing on to build an arena-melting and general all around badass team? I’ve been focusing on upgrading my Phoenix team because I read somewhere Kanan-Zeb-Hera-Ezra-Chopper is a solid team. Any help is much appreciated! Character link below.
