This is wrong. According to @Kyno some players were migrated from that one shard and placed in a number of other already existing shards. According to Kyno no shard was ever split in half.
Well you are wrong on so many levels but I’m done arguing with you. It was split in half. Look it up. And your weak g12 Fives and r4 ani fleet team wouldn’t be able to sit in top 50 with only 2 battles a day in mine.

It would take far more than 2 battles to reach top-50 for me.
Back in january I explained to you that my low number of wins were not representative of the shard as a whole. Back in january I explained that top ranking players had 5.5 k wins on average. Back then you yourself only had 3.4k wins (som before the "split" others (probably fewer) after). Yet you were complaining. And it seems like what I explained back then got lost between your screen and your memory.
So in ravenclaws screenshot, the the top reads “we will be migrating players..into new separate shards’ so plural, meaning more than one shard. Seems to imply that it was split into more than half.
Also reads that it was done ahead of changes to fleets they would do this to one specific shard and no others, also probably implying that they won’t be doing it again and judging by the lack of any official communication, this means they don’t want to do it again. @niko4 youre probably going to have to get over it and keep on going as is. If your fully r7 across the board then you better start planning on the next meta and see what you can do.
I’m in a reasonably competitive shard, only have 3400 or so wins, but everyone is 7* with high relic counts atm, I’m pretty sure any fleet shard that’s been around since 16/17 is going to be competitive. Not sure anyone else on any other shard is complaining about it though.
Maybe Kyno would care to investigate and find out the details. He has some contact to CG. Maybe he could clarify it for us.
It appears I was wrong, which I believe I clarified in the thread that post came from, that it was just what I remember. Obviously I didnt get that in game message that clearly states what happened.
Just for the record, I am also in a fleet launch shard and have around 6300 fleet wins (with an average of 7 a day, would put me on track with the shard back in January too). There are a few in the 5K range with some quick checking, but almost all are 6-7k.
I dont see anyone who has unlocked both yet, but GLs are not a measure of anything when it comes to ships.
As they said in the post the split was due to population and no other factors. The 300-400 are still active from what we see of players who are in the chat but stopped caring as much about ships right now.
From what I have seen a few relic levels doesnt do much to the win ratio, as long as you upgrade what counts and match speed, you stay in the ball park.

I don't see that in that old discussion where your comment is from but thank you for clarifying it now.
I admit I am curious if CG merged 10 shards and the split them back out while keeping the top 50 of each shard together and just randomly shuffling the rest, how many in each newly shuffled shard would rise? The top 50 is usually the most active and devoted to that fleet or arena, they're mostly in the shard chat and working together to help everyone get the best payout possible.
If the bottom 51+ were shuffled I'm not sure how many would rise into the top. Yes there would be some shard that became more or less competitive based on how that shuffle went, and it might be worth exploring as a test.
To those who want a FULL shuffle, or a split, it's just not reasonable.

I think sentiment this misses the mark a little bit. There are likely a lot of active players that treat 50 as the top reward they will get and a "good break point".
If they were going to implement any shuffles ships would have been the place to do it, but they probably should have started with that in mind, vs trying to bring it in later.

Not really. If they move everyone out of that shard into new shards (which the message seems to imply, and it wouldn't be fair to give some "new" shards, while others remain in the "old" shard), then they'd need more than 1 to actually be splitting it at all.

I think when CG talks about the size of the shard it is only counting active players.
I don't think it actually had more players in it than other shards, just more active players. My buddy who has long since quit was in that shard. He would complain about falling into the high thousands in one day after climbing below 1000. The shard had everyone active, not just the ones at the top like most other shards.

We were absolutely not placed in already existing shards.
