Returning Player Seeking Advice

I have been away for quite some time, and I am considering getting back into the game. I'm not even sure where to start at this point. My characters are below:

Planned to finish out Windu (I know he isn't the greatest, but he's basically a 7* at this point) and try to get JMY, but other than that I'm pretty lost.

My ship situation is basically non-existent. :\

I don't particularly want to start over. Would it be necessary at this point?

Any guidance is super appreciated!

  • Honestly, starting over is almost always the best path forward when returning from a long break and under level 85 (but high enough to have unlocked arenas) if your goal is to be competitive. You are going to be way behind on your arena shardmates and it will take quite some time with dedicated effort to get to a point where you earn solid arena income.

If you plan on being a casual player who enjoys collecting star wars characters and using them in the various game modes, than no need to restart. It will take longer to farm and gear, and you might never top the arenas or GAC, but the game can still be fun.

If you choose not to restart, finishing up 7* yoda is a good first step. After that you have a decision: the more traditional Phoenix > Empire > Revans line of farming or jumping towards more current/future competitive squads like sepratists, Galactic republic, and the Resistance/First Order.

  • That makes total sense. More than anything, I'm worried about my ability to smoothly progress in the game, and that seems a bit hampered by the older account. I am seriously considering restarting. Thank you for your input!
