Laughably Priced Gear Bundles

Not that I'd be buying them anyway but the gear bundles currently available make me both cringe and laugh.

I'd love to be someone who pulls in 300k+ a year and just spend a stupid amount of money on this game just to see how it goes. Is it even fun anymore if you can just buy all of your progression?

A lot of folks seem to do it so my guess would be, yes.
  • They aren't bad prices. And the gear you get is nice. I've bought all the flash sale sthus far and I plan to keep doing so as long as the value TO ME is worth it.

If you need the gear it's a better deal than the crystal buys.

You know they’re priced high because loads of people still buy them.

Just understand how a business works.

This very simple business concept flies under the radar of so many people unfortunately. Why change anything if it continues to work. If you are catching fish left and right with cheap bait why would anyone want to buy the more expensive better bait? That's right, they wouldn't arms I don't expect CG to change any prices any time soon as long as they still gave fish to catch.Common sense

    Yeah like,

  • Mobile games are horrific value all round, swgoh is no different. A decent pc game is soooo much better value for example.

  • But you get the game for under a hundred bucks. Period. Not $100 to provide a few upgrades to a few characters within the game, that you'll then have to buy again later to do the next few characters.

It boggles my mind how much money some people can justify spending on this game. But to each their own.

Apples and oranges really. For one, mobile games can be played anywhere, anytime.
But besides that, console games are like buying a movie, you buy it for a fixed price, watch it right away (or beat the game) and then put it on a shelf. You might watch it (or play it) some other time, but not very often. Essentially, there is an ending.
Mobile games are more like having cable TV. You pay some money every month (or buy packs) and get to watch new shows every week (or get new characters or content). In contrast, there really is no ending until you lose interest.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

    Or do the OG strat.

Buy the game on the PlayStation store, finish it in 2-3 days, file for a refund, repeat.

I don’t do this but ik many who do

Integrity. Preying on addiction is just as bad as scamming the elderly with robocalls. Pathetic businesses are pathetic.

    Again... Integrity.

Some have forgotten the face of their father.

Do you rally this hard against the integrity of people who sell alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, and run casinos/gambling? All of those prey on addiction (or worse, peoples fundamental need for the product to survive).

The beauty is how everyone else benefits from a few big spenders. Let them have hollow victories while we play a premium game for little or nothing. Who's the real winner?

Except this one as there is nothing to play, just sim a few times.

    Too late.

Ps. If you went to a cafeteria and bought a latte for only 19.99, thinking it's a bargain as a cappuccino costs 29.99, you are the only one to blame.
