Earn ranks and interact at different player levels

How would you feel about the following:

SWGOH suggestions

New players start as youngling recruits. As they gain strength they can take the trials and become eligible to become a Padawan Learner. Then they can request to be taken on by a player at the rank of Jedi or higher. Missions can be played alone but with a computer controlled version of their master and all of the masters characters.

This will give newer players a sense of what characters can do at higher levels. And it will give higher ranked players a sense of purpose and accomplishment that is hard to come by when all you see around you are players at the same or similar level as you.

Then have trials become available for advancing to Jedi that the master can oversee or be involved in somehow. And have the counsel grant the rank of master as certain achievements are completed. Then Grand Master to the top players.

Neat idea, but difficult to monetize and thus unlikely to happen.

That could be. But structured well it could be an ever present incentive to spend money to advance.

Sounds like more “gameplay” for new players. New players have PLENTY to do in this game. And with Hyperdrive + Journey will have content for a year plus. Meanwhile the vets are bored in a stagnate and overly challenging era and are losing interest fast.

@HunBoga Sounds like a cool idea though... maybe for CGs next game.

It could be structured to not require much activity beyond just doing what you normally do. Only on rare occasions would you need to actually engage with it to pass a trial or go on a quest.

And of course it could be set up to provide more for higher ranked players to do. Take your Padawan on missions for the counsel...etc.
