Finn and Resistance Trooper are very good at relic levels. FOO is...okay...at relic levels, survives a lot longer anyway. FOST is pretty good at relic levels. Anyone at relic 7 is better than their relic 1 equivalent but KRU gets really tanky, JTR gets...better?

But this also isn't the first time they've made us build up crappy characters to get better characters from events. the viagra twins for JTR are such an example. Though you really only need them at G8ish to get through the event, they still need to be 7*
Just wait....you'll need to get Rose, Holdo, Resistance Pilot, Phasma, both FO pilots, etc. plus the new Resistance/FO characters all up to R5-7. That's a LOT of resources....don't know many people who are planning on running 3 Resistance teams and 3 FO teams, lol.
Lol I read it as pilot at first. All of those toons are good at high relic levels. Crazy farm, sure, but interesting way to rollout the new toons. Have the strong suspicion we’ll need those relics in order to unlock kylo/Rey 3.0, eh?
Unless they make gear far easier to get in the near future this is pretty much gg for F2P. Getting a GL is gonna require getting 13 characters to high relic levels which would take like over a year and that is a year of not developing any good characters for your roster all for a character that will probably be replaced in the meta before you are even half way there.

Or a simple one time investment of $22k for 220 crates of 16k crystals. No real kraken is waiting a year...
Almost any character has use at relic 5. But there are way better characters and factions and it feels like a wasted investment for these singular characters. Isnt going to stop me from doing it or finding uses for them I just dont see myself looking at resistance trooper going "wow that's such a great investment/character"

Would this not allow you to use BB8 and C3PO elsewhere and still have a good, well worked on team? Also to say Resistance is bad, then just try to write off all the good Resistance characters is just silly. 3po is good, so doesn't belong, bb8 is good, so just say it works in a droid team, new ones are good, but I can't farm them at this moment so they don't count, the rest are good in the STR, but I'm not going to mention that because it doesn't agree with my point.

Not much better than usual, if you think about it. Usually, we got a week's notice for months long farm, now we get a few months notice for a year long farm. More of the same, just on a larger scale. The biggest difference is that the arena won't be flooded with GL teams all at once.

This is the most important part. These first 3 characters on each side is just the start
Because it was stated as Resistance Pilot at first, it got changed to Trooper quickly.

JKR, dr, Padmé, gg, cls, Geos, gas, Shaak clones, Palestine empire, ns and the list goes onnn and onn and on.
So R7 or R5 all of these would be much better
And there’s still many I didn’t list
Clones are better in raids too.
New Finn & Poe don’t count since they’re still p2p
Also, JTR, Finn, Poe, Scav Rey, ect all suck.
