GA filtering now with brackets inside the division?! 5 man GA

5 players over the chromium last night and now we face only each other. All in different top char GP (within the div4). One free win for the 5th guy -> max points, good job.

This is broken. @CG_SBCrumb. Why not have the top 2 pools mixed? There is HUGE discrepancy between our top char GP and balance between our rosters.

Yet very little difference between GA points.

There are many ways to compare accounts, and this is what they have chosen.

Or get the points (calculate the max points + feats ) so that noone advances in the first round chromium (bronze is fine). Then 2nd round shouldn't get people to aurodium -> 3rd to kyber. So that there is atleast pool to balance out the rosters.

Why not just say the bottom 50 (or so) can be matched with top 50 of previous league?

While points affects your league, it doesn't affect the actual MM at all, after the league filtering. And league should not be a cutting filter at all. Should allow atleast the top2 leagues combined if for example, one league doesn't have more than 200 players or something better reasoning.

I don't think 50 will cut it when we are just in the chromiums etc, I think the cutting should be wider in the especially in the lower brackets, since there are so much variance in the rosters to get more balanced matches. Position in the ladder is not a qualified filter at all.

But if points determine the league you're in, then it does affect MM.

It would at least eliminate your issue of 5 ppl being matched.

You comment doesn't make any reasoning why. Don't pretend having 5 people within one division fight each other just cause that can happen. 4 of these players won't be able to compete for Top1 position after this round (cannot compensate for 1000 point loss). And you think it's "fair" cause they happened unknowningly push above the treshold to chromiums. Next round (and even after just placing defence) there are thousands of players (which whom have had SAME matchmaking, be it fair or not). Only 5 players in the chromium don't get to have same matchmaking since there were no players to choose from.

You talk about leagues, but you are preferring to divisions since you suggest it would be 'more broken'. We all start in bronze and start climbing, is this GAC MM broken in the first round?
