Sequel Music in-Game

So I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the subject, but games like LEGO Star Wars the Force Awakens seem to be able to get their hands on movie tracks, yet games like Battlefront II and SWGOH seem to get either the older music only, or some of the music from Gordy Haab etc. While some of the EA commissioned music is great, I have pointed out in the past that having event tracks revisited for events with new loops from the new trilogy would really help put the player in the mood of that particular Star Wars moment. After all, one of the most important aspects of Star Wars (in my humble opinion) is the masterful work of John Williams. Does anyone with more clout on the matter know more about how this works specifically? Do Capital Games or Star Wars Battlefront II not have the budget to pay the royalties needed to get this music in-game? Is there another reason(s)?
