Comment Approvals vs No Approvals

Just started commenting on the forums recently and I have noticed that majority of my comments get posted straightaway, but a very small amount of the time my comments need to wait for approvals. Why is this? Just curious.

There are many reasons all tied to the spam filter. Quick edits, the occasional double posts that we all see, and I suspect something with the auto save feature all cause the filter to pick up posts and lock them down. I'm sure there are other things I do not know about too at play.

There is also a secondary issue, that once a post is flagged a poster is also flagged and they will have subsequent posts pulled or marked as spam for a period of time.
