changing from 5 to 8 on had nodes gives less drops

Why is it that I get far less shard drops from hord nodes now that they increased from 5 to 8? I should have 60% more! Also with the new Y-wing event I can usually collect about 20-25 shards every day so I can unlock the new toon during the event. (it demands 80) but now I got only 6 shards from 3 refills and only doing the cheapest nods! thism akes it impossible to unlock the new ship and pointless too try beacase I need that energy to collect mod parts! I'm very dissapointed.
