It may not be CG's fault entirely. CG is a studio of EA, and EA makes Star Wars titles under a license.

The ones who spearheaded the exclusive license are also now gone from EA.

EA cancelled a massive Star Wars themed video game early last year. It was intended to be a open world style game. It was suspected to be largely complete at the time of cancellation. There may be all kinds of background rhetoric to make things happen, which we would never see (thankfully).

I'm saying this to show the levels of complexity behind SW content. The exclusive license may be a battle sometimes just to add one **** character, forget about any massive changes to the game. Since EA has already cancelled one open world style game, slim chance that we would ever get that style of game play here.

All this being said however... I also very much want new content beside just new characters.

Galactic Challenges is a joke. I would rather stare at the bathroom floor then play any of it.

The license for Star Wars is being abused by many who hold its rights.

In the short term, maybe. In the long term they'd be screwing themselves out of a ton of revenue from people buying the prototypes for 1300 crystals a pop.

This will also keep a fare amount of the player base angry that stun guns aren’t easily accessible and that they are hidden behind big crystal purchases.

A good idea for game would be a mechanism like to get relic materials trading for gears.
They could implement a system of gear upgrade. If I have a gear level 1 with x gears plus something this would became a level 2 gear.
    This would be nice

They've been that way for four years and the game is still doing fine. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's an ineffective system.

This has been suggested for years because we had no way to do anything with all the excess gear we'd piled up thousands of. But CG always said no, they weren't doing this (probably because it would make actual gear easier to come by). Instead they added relic salvage to address the piles of unusable gear. So instead of being able to use our excess gear to ease the gear crunches, they just worked it into a new grind/crunch.

Actually we are all focused on the choke points... If there is a sand box mod where we can all play in.

For for example I wanna gear some random non meta toon. I wanna test it out first maybe against another guild mate or a random bot from the system?

I know sandbox mode is not an answer to everything, but at least it is a content that we can play with.

Maybe see whose meta team is the best and how to change mods to make it even better.

Maybe even have a tournament in our guild to see which faction is better (Rebels vs Empire). Maybe even have a price pool where the guild members can donate into so that the winner (or winning team) get that price pool.

The mode can given do galatic war within the guild or externally, to another guild. It is like a mirror of TW but this round we get to choose who we wanna challenge if the other party accepts. All these wins no need great rewards. Getting titles here make more sense as it is really an achievement compared to the one in GAC.

Basically... Make the game interesting and not just stimming and grinding. Have tournaments / special events that reward players just for participating.

**** the least u can do is rework the daily completion rewards... Make people actually care about completing it

So what about giving us control of moving toons around in a battle?

Like a chess board and toon can reach spaces where their abilities are modified or modify the opponent

And seriously... Why does a 5 Yr old game not have a global event?

By terms of global event is that there is this mega boss that everybody need to hit to kill the boss. (Maybe 24 hr window)

The boss have many levels. So if the boss is killed, another stronger boss arrives to take its place and so on.

With each boss killes, the price increases.
Prices are ranked according to the damage the player does. More damage, more prize.

For those no time to play, just do 1 battle for the minimal prize. Win win situation.

And this battles can be separated into 5 vs boss or ship battles. Where the battle on the ground affects the bonus in the air and vise versa...

    Basically make it fun...

It can even play into a scenario (battle the empire in the air to stop their excavation of Jedi relics on the ground)

So air battles is faction (Rebel players fighting to disable imperial command ships to stop troop reinforcement on the ground)[less attack waves on the ground]

Ground battles are any fraction vs empire (NPC) to disrupt their communication array , rendering ships to be less efficient (ship less damage and health etc etc)

So many iconic battles to choose from.

Battle of Scarif (48 hrs window)
1st 24 hrs, lead the rebellion on a naval blockade run.
Staging battle is fleet battles, to clear landing platform on the planet surface.
1st Boss: Random SSD / Cruiser
    2nd Boss: Shield Platform

Once Shield platform is down, open another area for land battles.
Final boss: Endless battles with tie fighters and SSD / imperial ships

    Land Battles
Fight through 2 waves of infantry to reach the first boss
    1st Boss, Cargo ATAT walker
    2nd Boss, Tie Reaper

3rd Boss - Hold out as long as you can against endless wave of Imperial troopers
To complete the challenge, hold out for 30 mins combine effort

Toons can only be used once. So if defeated and not revived remain defeated in battle.

If this is completed in the first 24 hrs, flip the battle around to the empire side. To capture the missing data stolen from the rebels.

Battle of Scarif part 2 (Next 24 hr window)

Start with land battles to clean up after firing of the death star to regain control on the planet
    1st boss: Random Rebel commander
2nd Boss: Rebel Troop Transport escaping the surface
3rd Boss: To defeat the remaining waves of Rebel troops

Once the 1st boss is defeated, open another area for fleet battle to chase the Raddus

    1st Boss, Random Crusier
    2nd Boss, Disabling the Raddus
3rd Boss, Disabling / prevent the Tantive IV from escaping
