How to workaround the 'no rewards' bug in Galactic Challenge event

TLDR: complete a Tier in your first try to receive it.

So I have investigated the bug, and it turned out that in 2 different tiers I have cancelled the fight and I didn't receive the rewards there. In other 2 tiers I have completed them on first try and I received rewards.
Also - there is visualisation of this bug in the UI - if you retreat from the fight the 'first time' rewards disappear from the rewards screen.

There is concept in the community that being rewarded for 2 feats in the same fight causes the bug, but I think it is not

The easiest way to complete it is to use revive preventing characters - Wat Tambor, BHs or GAS.
