Advice on Squads???

Hello, I have been playing for about 2 months (level 46) and I am a bit stuck on what squad I should focus on. Advice on light side, dark side, and overall would all be appreciated. I REFUSE to do a phoenix squad because as I haven't watched the shows, the characters mean nothing to me but I was thinking maybe a scoundrel squad for overall and jedi and sith squads for light and dark???
anyways these are my best 10 characters
Fives 4* gear level III
Darth Nihilus 3* gear level IV
Mace Windu 4* gear level IV
Mando 2* gear level IV
Luke Farmboy 4* gear level IV
Boba Fett 4* gear level III
Clone wars Chewbacca 4* gear level III
Luminara Unduli 4* gear level III
Darth Sidious 4 (practically 5)* gear level II
other characters include dooku, cad bane, old ben, tarkin, various not great imperials, and IG 11 and greef karga.

This. If you want to be competitive in arenas, restart and Seps (Geos + Nute) is a good ds route, which leads to Padmé

Actually I just looked at my download date, and it was actually 1 month ago so that is my mistake
I dont know if level (now 48) after 1 month is active, but I am getting on every day and using all my energy, finishing galactic war, doing all my squad arena battles, and all the events that I can do so I feel pretty active.

If you are not going to do Phoenix, I recommend going for the Geonosians, so you can unlock Padme with them. They have decent ships as well.

Do you claim all the bonus energy? I have a month old account wich is lvl 68 currently.

Yes I claim all bonus energy, I think my problem is that I keep using sim tickets instead of just playing the battle, and then I buy more sim tickets. I appreciate the geonosian advice though.

Also now I am level 58 so I am getting better
