Acklay mission freezes when entering battle! Again!

Just venting here, I know the game freezes in all kinds of situations. But for the second time out of the last 3 DSTB the Acklay mission has frozen up on me when entering battle. Counts as an attempt and I didn't even get to try. It is so frustrating because I feel like I've got it down now, I wait the month or whatever for that battle to come around again, I move particular mods on that boost up my Geo squad, then I don't even get to try... So infuriating!
