Droid starter bundle - best squad?

With purchasing the HK, IG 88 and IG 86 what's the best squad? I have Lobot and love the glass cannon the tie fighter pilot is. Is this legit? Any better combos out there?

Its tough to say because experimenting with different squads is difficult to do at this stage because resources are so limited it is hard to stray from the cookie cutter builds. I will say that IG 88 is a fairly solid character, and I would reccomend having atleast 1 healer and a tankier character in your squad. Other than that its hard to say what squad would be good for you since I don't know the character pool you have.

Not a wise choice. You need healers to advance many parts of the game

Droids are great at pvp but don't have the durability you need for other sections of the game such as GW and 3 starring higher levels.

For just pvp you can round out your squad with poggle, and then choose between lumi or sid depending on if you want more heals or damage

I suggest reading through some of the older threads in general discussion and the characters and strategy. There have been many suggestions on characters that are easily farmable and pretty great. 3 examples would be luminara who you can farm through galactic war. Amazing healer and good offense. Another is Sidious who you can farm through arena shipments. One of the strongest characters in the game, and lastly Jedi Counselor is a good healer and attacker and is accessible and easily farmable. Just take a browse through the forums and you will find plenty of resources to help you understand the basics of team building.

Considering Luminara, IG-86, and Poggle are competing for farming resources in GW shipments I wouldn't consider advice from someone who suggested adding them together to start.

I would activate Lumi to help get GW tokens faster then switch to and 7★ Poggle before IG-86 as he eventually will have a Cantina node to farm. Keep farming Lobot. He will be useful when you get him to 7★ in about a years time.

Don't get Sid until you 7★ HK. I would leave HK at 4★, till after you 7★ IG-88.

You can temporarily use and 7★ Genosian Soldier for your squad while we wait for better droids to be added, he is easily farmable from an 8 energy node in Cantina while you collect Cantina Tokens. Since you would be best not to 7★ Luminara straight away I would recommend going for Daka here for the added GW and L&D table support.

If you can support 2 Cantina refreshes per day do it. Cantina farming is very slow without it and the heroes with shards from it will lag far behind heroes farmed from other tables if you don't.

Genosian Soldier can fill out the squad. You will now have 2 allies with good attack to make use of high dps squad ally assists and potential bonus damage on combos.

IG-86
IG-88
HK-47
Genosian Soldier

Perhaps you can help me, I posted about being stuck on light side battle 4-L. Is lvl 38 not high enough or something? The first wave of constant grenaders just wipes me out. Thanks again!

I don't really remember the squad I used to beat it, it was a while ago that I did it. Having healers and someone who can ability block such as old ben is helpful. Borrow him if you can. Here's one thread I found about it that may help you.
