What are the best imp trooper teams?

Veers lead, starck, Gideon, piet, and range trooper,

Vs darth revan team remove Gideon and put down either death trooper or shore trooper.

I’m still gearing/farming Gideon and Piett. What are best mod sets for those two?

As ever, speed. Happily both characters are fast anyway. Even with not amazing mods my Piett is 308 or thereabouts, plus the speed boost from Veers' leadership.

Also what secondary stats are best?

Moff Gideon is not in the best Trooper team, you want either Snow or Death under Veers lead. The number of situations where Gideon is better than either one of those two is few and far between.
